Airport Bus Services Malaga and Gibraltar

To travel between Sabinillas and the Malaga and Gibraltar airports, you will use the Avanza Grupo (formerly Portillo) bus network. There are no direct buses from Sabinillas to either airport; you will need to connect via Estepona or La Línea. 

✈️ To Malaga Airport (AGP)

There are two main ways to reach Malaga Airport using public buses:

1. Via Estepona (Most Common): Take the local M-240 bus from Sabinillas Centro to the Estepona Bus Station (approximately 25–30 minutes). From there, you can transfer to a direct Avanza bus to Malaga Airport. The direct bus ride from Estepona takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, with tickets costing roughly €9–€16.
2. Via Marbella: Alternatively, take the bus to Marbella Bus Station and transfer to an airport bus. The Avanza bus from Marbella to Malaga Airport takes about 40 minutes. 

✈️ To Gibraltar Airport (GIB)

Reaching Gibraltar is simpler, as you will take a direct bus to the Spanish border town of La Línea:

• Take the M-240 bus (operated by Avanza) directly from Sabinillas Centro to the Estación de Autobuses de La Línea de la Concepción.
• The ride takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
• From the La Línea bus station, the Gibraltar border (and the Gibraltar International Airport) is a short 5-minute walk. Rome2Rio +3
