Many owners have complained about the cleanliness and repair of the loungers at Pools 1 and 2. We have made efforts to distribute the best of the loungers between the two pools, but they are all in a very poor state and have not been cleaned for years. In my view, they should be cleaned every one to two weeks during the summer.
We no longer use the pools. This is the situation as I understand it:
The loungers are very badly worn and extremely dirty. The new maintenance contract calls for them to be cleaned once before the pool opens and once halfway through the season. This is not acceptable.
Here’s the latest section of the contract I was givne by ACV
• Sunbed Cleaning
In May, all sunbeds to undergo a thorough cleaning process, including degreasing and disinfection, to ensure they are hygienic and comfortable to use. An additional cleaning will be carried out in mid-summer to maintain cleanliness throughout the high-traffic season.
In addition, the fabric of the loungers is in very poor condition with tears and cuts.
The community finances are also in a poor state, and no allowances have been made for the repair and painting of the buildings, OR THE LOUNGERS!
We have three options IF WE CAN FIND THE MONEY:
- Clean the existing loungers – Cost: free, if owners volunteer.
- Replace the loungers – Cost: €80–€90 each.
- Replace the fabric (the lounger manufacturer supplies replacement covers) – Cost: €40–€45 each.
Additionally, at Pool 2, many loungers are left under the large tree and become covered in bird droppings. It would be helpful if users could stack them in the middle of the pool area after use. The Pool cleaner could also do this for free as it would make his task of cleaning the pool area faster
